Kits and build-a-box bundles,
every item keeps its own stock
Sell a fixed kit at one price, or let shoppers pick any N items from a collection. A Shopify Function applies the bundle price, and every item stays a normal line in the cart, so Shopify takes each one’s stock as usual. No order limits.
Three steps
Install, make a kit or a box, add the block to a page. Bundles stay drafts until you turn them on.
Make a kit or a box
A kit is fixed product variants with quantities. A build-a-box is a set number of items the shopper picks from collections or a product list, with an optional cap per item. Set a fixed price or a percent off.
Add the block to a page
In the theme editor, add the “Kit or build-a-box” block to a product or landing page and type the bundle’s short name. One button adds the whole kit; a box shows plus and minus buttons.
Check the cart
The cart shows the item lines at the bundle price. You can also switch on the app embed to show a notice when a kit is incomplete or a component has sold out.
What shoppers see
A kit card with its items and one Add button, or a box with a counter such as “3 of 6 chosen”. In the cart each item is its own line with the bundle discount applied, and the bundle name can be shown on the line. A kit with an unavailable component says sold out instead of adding half of it.
Good to know
- Items plus a discount, not a new product. A bundle is its real products in the cart with a discount, not one SKU. Orders, reports and inventory show the real products. Bundles are not shown as a single product in POS.
- The app never edits your inventory. Shopify takes each component’s stock when the order is placed, which is what inventory tools such as Restock read.
- Express checkout. Shop Pay and Apple Pay buttons can start checkout without the cart page. Add the bundle with the block’s button first; the price is applied to the cart Shopify sees at checkout.
- Themes. The block uses the standard cart endpoints. Some custom cart drawers don’t refresh on their own; reload the cart or write to us with the theme name.
- Limits. A kit has up to 12 different products. A box holds 2 to 24 items from up to 5 collections or 60 products. Starter allows 10 live bundles and Pro 50; drafts don’t count.
What you get
The parts of a bundle app that matter, without an order quota.
Fixed kits
Choose product variants and a quantity for each, up to 12 products, and sell them at a fixed price or a percent off.
Build-a-box
Shoppers pick exactly N items (2 to 24) from collections or a product list, with an optional cap per item.
Each component keeps its stock
Every item is a normal cart line, so Shopify deducts each component at checkout. The app never writes to inventory.
Price applied by a Function
A Shopify Function applies the bundle price at cart and checkout and re-checks the rules, so the price only applies when the right items are in the cart.
Checks before you publish
The list warns when a component is sold out, a draft, archived, deleted or not on the Online Store.
Schedule and countries
Optional start and end dates and a country filter for each bundle.

Questions
Do I need Shopify Plus?
No. The bundle price is applied by a Shopify Function inside a standard automatic discount, which works on every Shopify plan.
Does the app change my inventory?
No. Each component stays a normal line in the cart and in the order, and Shopify deducts its stock as it does for any product. The app has no inventory access.
Can shoppers get the bundle price without buying the bundle?
The discount only applies to cart lines the block tagged for a bundle, or, if you switch it on for a kit, to a cart holding every component in the right quantities. For a box the Function checks that every item is in the pool and respects the per-item cap.
What if a component sells out?
The kit shows sold out and can’t be added, and the bundle list warns you which component and why. Shopify’s own stock check still applies at checkout.
Does it work with Restock?
Restock reads your products’ inventory. Because every component stays a normal line, its stock goes down as usual and shows there. The two apps don’t call each other.
Does it work with discount codes?
By default the bundle discount can combine with other product and order discounts. You can turn that off in Settings.
Does the price go up as the store grows?
No. Starter is $19 a month and Pro is $49 a month, both with unlimited orders. The only difference is how many bundles can be live at once.
What happens when I cancel?
Cancel in Settings or uninstall. The bundle discount is taken down, so bundle prices stop applying. After an uninstall Shopify sends a shop/redact request and we delete the store’s bundles and settings.
